Kosabei Plantation FAIR TRADE Loose Leaf Green Tea from Kenya Africa is light yet profound, gentle while astringent. a unique, raw FAIR TRADE estate grown green tea

This is a spectacular and innovative new grade of tea grown at 6-7,000 feet in Kenya called Natural Tea.

Unlike most single estate teas, Natural Tea is produced and shipped in an un-graded state direct from the dryer and so comprises every grade of tea normally produced in the factory. This results in a cup that tastes like nothing you have ever had before and truly unlocks the majesty of this estate.

We also love that the development of this process has helped keep money in the hands of the growers who have in turn reinvested in their workers. The Estate is proud that no herbicides or pesticides are used in the production of this tea.

A cup of this exceptional tea offers an experience as close to an actual visit to the plantation as some of us will ever get!

So, picture the scene. The air is heavy and hot with aromas of fresh cuttings. Scents from the garden plants and flowers waft in on the breeze. Your nose is filled with the bakery like smells as you pass the dryers before you reach the tables where the tasters will be presented with up to 50 cups to sample. Aromas of the cups fill the room. They tell the stories that will be read by the taste buds of the buyers!

All we have to do is sit back and enjoy the unbelievable, raw, sweet malt taste of this tea which is simply loaded with polyphenol antioxidants. What an innovation.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose leaf tea.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS - Steep this tea multiple times as loose leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to the superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision, so please experiment to determine your preferences.

Use water between 180 and 190 degrees F, or allow boiling water to stand for 2 minutes. Steep your Kosabei Plantation Green Tea as little as 1 minutes, but not more than 4 minutes. For each of the following steeps use water of the same temperature and double the steep time. Kosabei Plantation Green Tea can be steeped at least 3 times and depending on the steep times, as many as 5 times. Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea. If you do not want to drink all the tea, store in fridge for wonderful iced tea.
